The time is fast approaching for the Interpack Expo, one of the biggest international expos for the packaging industry. An event that only occurs every three years, the expo will again be held in The Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre in Düsseldorf, Germany. Form May 4th to May 10th the best of the packaging industry will gather to meet, exhibit, do business, and enjoy the city of Düsseldorf.

The organizers report that this year’s registration for the Interpack Expo is at an all-time high for its 55 year existence. The 2017 Interpack Expo will feature 18 exhibition halls, giving attendees so much to offer over the course of the week. It will be attended by around 170,000 specialist visitors from 190 countries, making the event invaluable for forging world-wide contacts. So even if you are not exhibiting, it would be worthwhile attending in order to make contacts and view new packaging trends and innovations. If you are exhibiting, there will be no shortage of visitors to display to.

Interpack Expo gives attendees a chance to make connections that are more personal than they would otherwise be via email and video conferencing. Savvy attendees will be able to capitalize on the opportunities supplied by such an environment, and make agreements and sign contracts for future business.

Moreover, Interpack will run a trade fair parallel to the expo. This trade fair will feature products from the supplier industries of the packaging industry.  It is has also proven quite popular, and is fully booked. That Düsseldorf is a cultural center with a healthy nightlife, means the networking need not stop at the Interpack Expo itself.

Because packaging trends change, innovations are made, and new materials are introduced, it’s prudent to keep up with both partners and competitors. With a special focus on sustainability, and limiting food waste, Interpack Expo is an event with a rich half-century history, that also keeps its eyes on the future.
